The photo shooting dedicated to newborns takes place within the first 15, maximum 20 days of the baby’s life. The reason is purely of a “technical” nature: in the first 20 days of life, the little ones sleep a lot and more deeply, are less reactive to external stimuli and easily maintain the fetal position that naturally welcomed them in the mother’s womb. This allows me to position the little one more easily.
Often, after the first two weeks, babies begin to suffer from colic, be more sensitive to external noises, and newborn acne may also appear. This of course doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to photograph our little one beyond three weeks of life, simply the photo shooting will lead to a slightly different result.
The Newborn photography session requires a lot of patience, which is why it can have an extremely variable duration, even up to around 3 hours, to allow the baby to follow his natural rhythms and his needs: feeding, cuddles, diaper changes.
